Doug Hood is President and Owner, leading the team at dBA Design Group. For over 20 years, Doug has brought together teams of talented people to collaborate on acoustical & technology projects throughout the United States; notably Clinton Frame Church - Goshen, IN (architectural and Constellation active acoustics and audio/visual/lighting systems), Inspiring Body of Christ – Dallas, TX (high performance audio/visual/lighting systems), Faith Church – Dyer, IN (architectural acoustics, production & broadcast systems).
Doug holds a BS from Taylor University in Music Composition and Bible. He is a Certified Auditioner® Designer, Certified Church Consultant (CCC), and utilizes EASE, CAD and TEF. He is also the Worship Leader at Central Ministries, Fort Wayne, IN.
Seth Baker has 20 years of experience of working as an Architectural Designer, Draftsman and Project Manager, 3 years as a Mechanical Draftsman as well as a Professional Carpenter for 5 years. He has worked closely with Principal Consultant Jeff Hedback for the past 10 years in the acoustical design realm as well as completing full recording studio builds.
Seth attended Ball State University School of Architecture as well as Indiana State University School of Construction Technology and has completed SynAudCon Sound System Design training. Seth utilizes AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro and Olive Tree Lab.
Drumming and teaching drummers, young and old are among his many passions, Seth has been an avid audiophile since an early age.
Jeff Hedback is a Principal Consultant, specializing in acoustical testing and analysis, architectural acoustics modelling and design solutions, and sound transmission system design. In over 17 years Jeff has completed hundreds of projects; notably RFA Church, Raleigh, NC (architectural acoustics), the United States District Court 12 Florida South District (courthouse acoustics), and Center For The Performing Arts in Carmel, IN (noise control, vibration control and architectural acoustics).
Jeff has a Bachelors of Music from Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Music Production & Engineering. Jeff holds a US patent for the development of an acoustic isolator platform. He has 15 years’ experience as a professional musician on tour and in studio, and has multiple awards for professional recording studio design excellence. Jeff routinely utilizes CATT-Acoustics, CAD, SketchUp, Olive Tree Lab, CARA, INSUL and SOUNDFLOW.
Rick Stewart is an experienced audio and acoustic systems design/builder. His 30 years of experience have included a broad range of projects, including Science on a Sphere Display, Science Central, Fort Wayne, IN (surround sound and spherical blended projection), The Big House Sanctuary, Celebration Church, Richmond, VA (architectural acoustics and performance audio/visual/lighting with production studio), and Redemption Christian Church, Jasper, IN (acoustics design and performance audio/visual/lighting with recording studio).
Rick is an experienced musician and worship leader, orchestral conductor and choral leader.
Glenn Peacock has served as a technology expert and specialty consultant with some of the nation’s leading architectural firms on projects throughout North America. As a musician, producer and engineer Glenn began his career in recording production in the late 1970’s; he was mentored by a top CBC producer in the construction of a recording studio south of Montreal Canada. Through this experience Glenn began a journey that ultimately lead to his practicing the art of technology design in all areas including workflow, function, and performance with physics and science as a cornerstone for over 30 years.
Some of Glenn’s distinctive projects include the Bio Design institute at Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ (consultation, project definition, room/space analysis), The Musical Instruments Museum, Phoenix, AZ (performance audio, distributed audio/visual systems), and UCSD Experimental Music Theater, University of California, San Diego (Constellation active acoustics, performance audio system). Glenn utilizes EASE, MAPP, Modeler®/Auditioner® Viewport, Soundvision, and Odeon 13 in acoustic modeling. He is an expert user of AutoCAD and SketchUp Pro, as well as Revit capable in his design work.
David McCauley has over 25 years of experience in professional theater, live production, and consultation. He is a visionary thinker, specializes is unique projects requiring ingenuity and creative design. Dave’s completed projects include The Cathedral of Grace Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, NY (acoustic design with performance audio/visual/lighting and broadcast systems), McKinney Church, Fort Worth, TX (design/build audio/visual/lighting systems with architectural acoustics, environmental projection and custom moving LED wall), Grace Fellowship Church, Shrewsbury, PA (acoustics design, room shaping and ceiling design with performance audio/visual/lighting systems).
Dave is a certified Rigging Trainer and an experienced user of SMAART and EASE software, as well as Bose Modeling, SketchUp and AutoCAD. He is sought after live-performance audio engineer.
